It sounds like at least the making of it would be a beautiful experience. :)Jaana and Kiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05152079087738186592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2539576329400708227.post-62176421391933631252012-08-10T19:26:14.684+01:002012-08-10T19:26:14.684+01:00Some years ago I dried fireweed flowers and made t...Some years ago I dried fireweed flowers and made tea of them. Taste was not so great but the dried flowers had a beautiful blue tone, and when I poured hot water on them they lost their colour and became white.Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00897415525530161944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2539576329400708227.post-54882049747585519942012-08-10T00:46:07.246+01:002012-08-10T00:46:07.246+01:00It seems like both countries have the same weeds t...It seems like both countries have the same weeds this time of year. Sometimes similarities are as striking as differences. In Italian Fireweed is called Epilobio (from the Latin name), or Camenèrio or Garofanino di Bosco (literally: little carnation of the woods). You can find it in woods and rocky areas, most often over 1000 meters above sea level. It blooms in the second half of July, which explains why it is also known as Fiore di Sant'Anna (Flower of Saint Anne).Zenohttp://www.flickr.com/photos/italiancozycorner/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2539576329400708227.post-48924201576014929032012-08-08T14:24:45.657+01:002012-08-08T14:24:45.657+01:00It was a happy accident. :) We prefer not to plan ...It was a happy accident. :) We prefer not to plan our shots, so that the pair will be a surprise to us also.Jaana and Kiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05152079087738186592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2539576329400708227.post-72251702488384561912012-08-08T14:22:32.224+01:002012-08-08T14:22:32.224+01:00Thank you, Deb.
