Gulls are very beautiful birds, although quite bully. In Italy you can find them only in seaside areas or near lakes, while in Scotland they are almost everywhere. I don’t recall seeing any black-headed gull in my hometown, but I did in other parts of Italy. Kia’s shot shows a typical Scottish urban gull, whereas Jaana’s gull is located in what I consider to be its natural environment.
From Jaana: Overhere the Black-headed Gull seems the most common one in the city, but outside the city, I think I've seen more of the other types. This one I shot in a downtown park.
Hi Jaana and Kia - Thanks so much for leaving such a lovely comment on my Blog today. The photos you have here look absolutely gorgeous - what do I do to join in the fun - once a week did you say? Val Thomas at http://homeleightigger.blogspot.com
Thanks for stopping by. Currently we are posting three times a week: on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. There's no time limit for you to play along (please, check out the Introduction page for more info). You can always go back to an older post, even months later, and leave your link/comment there. :)
