113 :: Fireweed



Jaana: Fireweeds are not so fiery anymore.

Kia: Now that it's autumn, the leaves of the fireweeds have turned reddish and orange.

  3. The local birch-wood was thick with them this year. They are so pretty in their autumn costume! There is a saying about this wildflower that "when fireweed goes to cotton, summer is forgotten".
